How DNA Recovered Reveals Mammoths' Evolution

Mammoths roamed the Earth for thousands of years to survive. Ice Age movie has the main character that is a Wooly Mammoth, setting off adventures and making funny jokes. Well, mammoths tend to have DNA when they were wiped off from existence, by extracting DNA from their three molars in the 1970s. Their molar remains were located in the northeastern part of Siberia, so the cold actually slowed down the DNA from degrading or decreasing overtime. This discovery might be older than the record of being the oldest animal extracted by DNA. This extraction might be at least a million years old.
